Primrose Studio and the surrounding land were donated to the City in 2001 by Rob and Dorothy Udall, long-time advocates for conservation and social causes.
The studio opened in 2007 as part of theReservoir Ridge Natural Area, fulfilling the Udalls’ wish to preserve the land and make the space available for community use.
The building design reflects the beauty of the landscape and includes art inspired by Dorothy Udall. Artist Barb McKee painted native grass designs from Dorothy’s original compositions as part of the City's Art in Public Places program.
