Where to Park

In the core of Downtown Fort Collins on-street parking is limited to two hours unless otherwise posted. All parking is parallel unless signed or marked otherwise. See our Downtown Parking Map(PDF, 517KB) for details.

The City of Fort Collins manages several surface lots available for both hourly and permit parking in the Downtown area that include a mix of paid, permitted and timed parking:

The City of Fort Collins manages three parking garages available for both hourly and permit parking in the Downtown area that include a mix of paid, permitted and timed parking:

All three garages are open 24 hours and security patrolled. Payments can be made 24/7 using pay stations/kiosks or the Parkmobile app.

When parking in our parking garages, note:

• Always follow posted signage for the most accurate guidance.
• All garages are gateless.
• You must initiate a parking session regardless of your length of stay.
• Rates are hourly.
• Digital signs display space availability and indicator lights help with navigation.

A secure, access-controlled bike cage is available for safe bicycle parking on the lower level of the Civic Center Parking Garage.

For access to secured bike parking, visit Parking Services at 144 N. Mason St., Suite 5, to sign up and pay for a bike cage-only pass. You’ll receive an access card at that time.

How to use the bike cage:

• Use your access card to unlock the bike cage door.
• Enter the bike cage and choose a spot on the top or bottom rack.
• Ensure the cage door fully closes when you leave.

Note: E-Bikes are not permitted at this time.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) parking is available at all downtown parking locations and marked with the universal ADA symbol on pavement and/or signage. ADA parking is reserved for individuals with a valid accessible parking placard or license plate.

• A paid parking session is required even with an accessible parking placard or plate.
• Vehicles displaying valid accessible placards or plates are not subject to time limits.
• Even with a valid placard, drivers must comply with other regulations:
• • Permit requirements (like Residential Parking Permit Program Zones)
  • Loading zone time limits
  • Traffic control laws

If You're Parked on the Street or in a Free Lot

Simply leave your car parked downtown overnight and:

1. Before 10 a.m. the next day: Fill out this online form or call Parking Services at 970-221-6617 (extension 0)
2. Before noon the next day: Retrieve your vehicle to avoid a ticket. If you need more time, call us.

Note: Safe Choice doesn't apply to permit-required parking zones.

If You're Parked in a Paid Parking Garage

1. Extend your stay for $1/hour via the ParkMobile app. You can download the app and start a new parking session, even if you originally paid at a parking kiosk.

Note: Parking is free in garages on Sundays.

Transportation Options

• Transfort: The City's free city-wide bus service runs Friday and Saturday 10:30 p.m. to 2:30 a.m., every 15 minutes from the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Remington Street, serving Downtown, the CSU campus, West Elizabeth Street and West Prospect Road.
• RamRide (for CSU students): Offers free weekend rides Friday and Saturday from 10 p.m.to 2:30 a.m. Request via the RamRide app or call 970-491-3333.
• NoCo DUI: Browse safe ride services in Northern Colorado.

The Safe Choice Program helps people who can't drive safely because they've been drinking. This program is only for emergencies and is not a substitute for planning ahead.

If you plan to drink downtown, please arrange for safe transportation in advance. If we notice repeated misuse of the Safe Choice Program, you may be suspended or removed from participation.

Misuse includes attempting to use the program for more than two consecutive days, or any pattern of use that shows the program is being used as a substitute for planning ahead when traveling downtown, obtaining a parking pass, or appropriate car storage.

Continuous use of the program for more than two days in a row will not be permitted.

Heading to a game or event at Colorado State University (CSU) at Canvas Stadium? Be aware of parking restrictions in nearby neighborhoods:

• Several neighborhoods near CSU have Residential Parking Program (RP3) Zones active during stadium events.
• On-street parking is restricted during these events.
• Vehicles without a valid RP3 permit will be ticketed.
