Additional Information

If you have a Fort Collins Municipal Court traffic citation with the penalty assessment portion filled out on the front, you may plead guilty and pay before your court date. Some citations have "early settlement" offers. To get the early settlement (which may include a point reduction), you must pay within 20 days of receiving the citation. If you miss the early settlement option, you may still pay before the court date and avoid paying the $35.00 Court Cost. However, the original points will be assessed against your driving record.

If the penalty assessment portion or early settlement is not filled out (for example, in most motor vehicle accident cases), you cannot pay before your court date because your appearance for arraignment is mandatory.

Municipal Court misdemeanor citations require you to appear on the arraignment date listed on your ticket.

Payment Plans

The court requires all assessed fines and fees be paid immediately. If you cannot pay the total amount due, you can complete a payment plan application on all citations except AVIS/Camera Radar/Red Light citations. You must appear in person either on your assigned hearing date or before your hearing to file this application.
