Parks, Natural Areas and Trails

Fort Collins residents take pride in our City's robust network of outdoor recreational spaces. From City parks to wide-spanning natural areas to paved and soft-surface trails, there are endless ways to experience and appreciate the outdoors.

Parks

Fort Collins has more than 966 acres of developed parks, all with their unique flair and features, connected by more than 45 miles of paved trails throughout the community.

Natural Areas

Thanks to community support, the City of Fort Collins maintains more than 50 conserved natural areas and over 100 miles of trail.

Trails

There are two types of trails managed by the City of Fort Collins: paved trails and unpaved (dirt, gravel, etc.) trails.
