Arapaho Bend Natural Area Visitor Improvements

The City anticipates making improvements to Arapaho Bend visitor amenities in 2027 using funds from voter-approved sales taxes.

Foothills Multi-Use Site

In November 2025, the Fort Collins community overwhelmingly approved a ballot initiative to support the future use of 164-acres on the site of the former Colorado State University’s Hughes Stadium, now called the Foothills Multi-Use Site. The site will feature a designated natural area, environmental education features, trail connections, a bike park, parkland and more.

Fossil Creek and Stanton Creek Improvements

This project will address the impacts from agricultural flows through Fossil Creek and work with existing conditions on Stanton Creek to create a more sustainable channel.

Halligan Water Supply Project

The Halligan Water Supply Project will enlarge the existing Halligan Reservoir by about 8,200 acre-feet to increase water storage capacity for Fort Collins Utilities. This project aims to improve drought security, enhance water system reliability, and meet future water demands while prioritizing environmental responsibility.

Neighborhood Park on Sykes Drive

The City is planning to build a park in the Mosaic Neighborhood. The park will be located just east of Timberline Road off of Sykes Drive.

The Colorado Front Range/Poudre River Trail Initiative is working to fill three trail gaps of the Poudre River Trail between Fort Collins and Windsor.

Power Trail Underpass

The Power Trail Underpass will close the Power Trail gap between Golden Meadows Park and Keenland Drive, offering a safe and convenient underpass beneath Harmony Road.
