Block parties can be a fun way to meet neighbors, build community and enjoy food, music and games on your street. This page has everything you need to plan your event — including how to apply for a street closure and how to reserve the free Block Party Trailer, which comes stocked with tables, chairs, games and other supplies.
Neighborhoods can organize block parties any time of year. A Special Event Permit is required, and you must get written permission from the property owner if the event is on private property.
Neighborhood grants are available year-round to help fund block parties. The Neighborhood Services team can also assist with planning, logistics, activities and tips for engaging your neighbors. Contact us to get support!
Take your neighborhood event to the next level with our Block Party Trailer!
The Block Party Trailer is free to reserve for Fort Collins residents and includes everything you need to host a fun community gathering.
Registration for 2025 is currently closed. Check back here in early 2026 for updates!
Note:
The Block Party Trailer comes stocked with tables, chairs, games and other supplies to help make your neighborhood gathering easy and fun.
