Activity Description: How do prairie dogs survive our harsh prairie winters? These amazing animals have a variety of survival adaptions and strategies that enable them to not just survive, but thrive! We will hike through a prairie dog colony and up the hill to the cabin and restroom, 1.1 miles up the trail. On the way we will learn about prairie dog life and survival. Bring your cameras, enthusiasm and questions.

Accessibility: Hike is about 1 mile, mostly flat, with one hill. Wide trail. Please dress for the weather and bring water.
