Accessibility on the Golf Course

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Golf Cart Policy

The City of Fort Collins Golf Department is committed to providing equitable access to our services. We will consider reasonable accommodations to ensure that all guests have an equal opportunity to enjoy our programs.

We ask that a Reasonable Accommodation Request be submitted 4 days prior to the requested tee-time, to ensure cart availability. This request can be accessed by visiting the Reasonable Accommodation Request form online or requesting a printed version at the Pro Shop counter. Guests needing assistance with this form may contact the ADA Coordinator at 970-416-4254.

Upon approval of submitted Reasonable Accommodation, a blue flag will be issued for approved person at the Pro Shop counter. This blue flag indicates an ADA disability status and authorization of Reasonable Accommodation. In some instances, the Reasonable Accommodation may allow a person to drive up to a tee box, at each hole, and may allow access to restricted areas around greens and bunkers, as course conditions warrant.

Any use of carts off the cart path is at your own risk and any problems or injuries resulting from such use are the golfer’s responsibility. For safety reasons, we strongly discourage the use of the golf cart on severe slopes or through tall grass areas. Natural, un-mowed areas may be designated as environmentally sensitive; please avoid these areas with the golf cart. Carts will not be allowed inside any roped off areas.  Guests using a golf cart pursuant to approved accommodation must comply with all car operating rules and any required waiver.

Course management reserves the right to restrict all cart traffic in the rare instances when excessive heat, moisture stress, new turf, or other weather-related or maintenance-related conditions create extreme safety issues, or which would result in any cart traffic causing serious damage to the course. Violation of this policy may result in suspension of golf privileges. Therefore, it is recommended that guests call the course first to obtain information on current course conditions.

If you have any questions regarding this policy, please contact City of Fort Collins Golf at 970-416-2265 or email Golf@FortCollins.gov.
