Light and Power

Two utility workers wearing safety gear and helmets are secured with harnesses while climbing a wooden utility pole. They are using climbing spikes and safety ropes, with tool belts and equipment hanging from their waists. One worker is wearing a green high-visibility shirt, and the other is in a tan shirt and jeans. The image captures a moment of teamwork and focus in a high-risk job environment

Clean Energy Goals

We're working toward a 100% renewable and carbon-neutral electric system by 2050 laid out in the Our Climate Plan.

  • Today, 46% of our electricity comes from renewable sources.
  • We are part of Platte River Power Authority, which supplies power to four cities in Northern Colorado.

What makes our system reliable?

  • Most of our electric system is underground, which protects it from weather and other damage.
  • Our crews maintain equipment regularly and respond quickly to outages.
  • We monitor the system 24/7 to make sure everything runs smoothly.

What to do if the power goes out

  • Check the outage map to see current issues
  • Report an outage by calling 970-221-6710
  • If there’s a downed power line, stay far away and call 911 immediately
