The City of Fort Collins includes hundreds of varieties of trees, each with their own unique flair. Check out some of our notable trees both around Fort Collins and within City Park by taking these self-guided tours.
A notable tree is remarkable or distinguishable in some way, or related to a famous or historical person, place or event. A tree may also be notable if the surrounding community accepts it as being special based upon its species, uniqueness or contribution to the community. Many of the trees in Fort Collins are notable because they are among the largest of their species in Colorado!
Our self-guided notable tree tour, made in partnership with the Colorado Tree Coalition and Alameda Wholesale Nursery, begins at the Gardens on Spring Creek and ends at Grandview Cemetery.
