Following decades of development, northeast Fort Collins can no longer rely on existing transportation infrastructure. The area has long been disconnected from the remainder of our community from a transportation network standpoint. In recent years, the City has heavily invested in large-scale development planning to change that. This project will continue that work, advancing the transportation and alternative modes networks in the northeast Fort Collins quadrant.

In late 2019, City Engineering staff began work with a consultant to on designs for a proposed expansion of Turnberry Road at Mountain Vista Road, south to Suniga Road and then west to the eastern edge of 1808 East Vine.

As it stands, the project will extend Turnberry Road south (from Mountain Vista Drive to Suniga Road) and extend Suniga Road east (to Lemay Avenue). The planning team is looking to expand the effort with connectivity analysis and further development of the overall concept and design details.
