Project Summary

The City of Fort Collins is installing separated bike lanes on Shields Street between Mountain Avenue and Mulberry Street. Construction is expected in 2026.

What’s Changing

The project will:

• Remove one northbound vehicular travel lane on Shields Street
• Fill a gap in the City's bicycle network
• Provide a buffer between the sidewalk and vehicular traffic
• Improve access to City Park, CSU Early Childhood Center and Dunn Elementary
