Fossil Creek Park

Designed as an escape from the urban environment, Fossil Creek Park wraps around the Portner Reservoir in southeast Fort Collins, with a quaint walking path around the lake and various recreation features from sports fields to tennis courts. The park is also a kid's paradise with its Tar Pits Play Area, giant Mammoth feature and interactive splash pad.


Splash Pad

Enjoy a waterfall and dancing waterspouts on the lake’s edge, against the beautiful backdrop of the front range.

9 a.m.-7 p.m. 
Seven days a week 

Water features are open and free to the public throughout the summer season, typically from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Hours of operation may vary depending on weather conditions or mechanical issues.
