Ever wondered how artists craft their masterpieces? Take a peek behind the curtain at the Fort Collins Artist Studio Tour and Sale, a self-guided tour of more than 70 local artist spaces revealing the mysteries of the creative process.
On Saturday, Oct. 24 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 25 from 12-5 p.m., local artists will open their doors to the Fort Collins community, allowing visitors to meet makers, view educational demonstrations and buy original artworks. Participating artists’ mediums span crafts from pottery, sculpture and fiber arts to photography, painting, jewelry and more.
Before the tour, the Center for Creativity will also be hosting a preview exhibit from Oct. 14-25 featuring participating artists with a free opening reception celebrating local art on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m. The exhibition is free and open to the public Wednesday through Sunday from 12-6 p.m. Artwork from a selection of participating artists is also on view at Fort Collins City Hall through Nov. 13.
Free self-guided tour maps of participating artist studios will be available in print at the exhibit and at select locations around Fort Collins. To learn more about availability and explore the digital self-guided tour map, visit the Fort Collins Artist Studio Tour and Sale website.
