Highlights of the rating include:
“The Aaa rating reflects City Council’s commitment to sound financial practices and shows investors that the City of Fort Collins stewards our debt responsibilities seriously,” said Chief Financial Officer Caleb Weitz.
The rating comes in advance of the City issuing the Certificate of Participation (COP) for the Southeast Community Center (SECC), which Moody’s has rated this specific obligation Aa2 based on the City’s overall Aaa issuer rating. This is the highest possible rating for this specific type of project.
