On March 26, 2026, Fort Collins Police Services (FCPS) executed a search warrant in the 300 block of S. Shields St., arresting one suspect and seizing multiple firearms and ammunition. The warrant was the result of a months-long investigation into a series of incidents in which moving vehicles were targeted with a pellet gun. In total, 12 incidents were reported, causing more than $15,000 in damage.

The suspect, Jamal Lohrius (dob 02/16/1971), was booked into Larimer County Jail on the following charges:

  • Class 5 Felony – Criminal Mischief (1 count)
  • Class 2 Misdemeanor – Reckless Endangerment (12 counts)

Police believe additional victims and unreported incidents may exist. Anyone who has additional information regarding this activity or believes their vehicle may have recently been damaged in the 300 block of S. Shields St. is encouraged to contact FCPS Detective Al Wilson at 970-416-2923 or alwilson@fortcollins.gov.

Based on detectives’ additional observations and significant community safety concerns, a warrant addendum was obtained and all known firearms, ammunition and accessories at the site were seized by FCPS.

Lohrius is currently being held on a $50,000 cash-only bond at the Larimer County Jail. Charges are merely an accusation by law enforcement, and the suspect must be presumed innocent until proven guilty in court.
