FORT COLLINS, Colo. – The City of Fort Collins invites the community to celebrate its 19th Annual Winter Bike to Work Day on Friday, Feb. 13, 2025. Participants can enjoy a day filled with coffee, breakfast and winter biking fun. Whether commuting to work, school or another destination, anyone using an active mode of transportation like biking, walking or scooting is encouraged to join the festivities.

“Winter Bike to Work Day is a wonderful way to embrace the spirit of Fort Collins in the colder months,” City of Fort Collins Active Modes Specialist AnnMarie Kirkpatrick said. “It’s all about celebrating our active transportation community while enjoying the unique charm of winter biking.”

Breakfast stations will be open from 7-9:30 a.m. at locations across Fort Collins, offering warm drinks, tasty treats and fun giveaways. Afternoon stations will also be available from 3:30-5:30 p.m., making it easy for participants to engage on their way home. A map of station locations will be posted at fortcollins.gov/BTWD prior to the event.

Winter Bike to Work Day is a long-standing tradition in Fort Collins, offering a chance to connect with others, reduce vehicle miles traveled, and enjoy the benefits of active transportation. Winter Bike to Work Day attracts an average of 2,000 participants each year. By choosing to bike instead of drive, participants collectively avoid about 6.7 metric tons of carbon pollution, roughly equivalent to the annual electricity use of one to two single-family homes.
