Winter Exploration at Running Deer Natural Area

Activity Description: Learn about the different ways that animals survive through the winter's scarcity of food; migrate, hibernate, or staying active. Naturalist Rob Pickett shares some of the fascinating methods animals have evolved to stay alive. The hike will be about 3 miles long over relatively flat terrain.

Accessibility: Program takes place outside and along an unpaved trail. Accessible bathrooms and parking available. Hike is roughly 3 miles, moderate. Please dress warmly for the weather.
