City Funding Recommendations for Affordable Housing and CDBG Public Services

Public comments are being solicited by the City of Fort Collins for the Spring 2026 Competitive Process funding cycle. Recommendations were made April 29, 2026, by the Human Services and Housing Funding Board. The funding recommendations involve use of federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds, and the City’s Affordable Housing Program (AHP) funds for community development, public services and affordable housing activities in our community.

This notice includes a list of entities that may receive funding, estimated funding amounts, information about the opportunity for public comment, and information about a City Council meeting where the recommendations will be considered. Funding amounts for CDBG and HOME will vary depending on the actual allocation from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). If more or less HOME and CDBG funds are available than were estimated, Housing Catalyst’s Redtail Ponds Debt Relief funding will be scaled up or down. Each CDBG Public Service project will receive funds according to the percentages listed below. All proposals were considered eligible for funding. The amount of funds requested in Housing applications exceeded the available funds by more than $3,000,000.

The Public Comment period for these recommendations runs from May 15 – June 16, 2026. Persons with questions or comments may contact the City by calling Adam Molzer at 970-221-6757; writing ATTN: Competitive Process Public Comment, Housing & Community Vitality Department, City of Fort Collins, PO Box 580, Fort Collins, CO 80522-0580; or by e-mailing amolzer@fortcollins.gov. Members of the public may also arrange to personally visit to express their views. City Council will take action regarding the Board’s recommendations 6 p.m., Tuesday, June 16, 2026, at Council Chambers, 300 W. Laporte Ave., Fort Collins, CO. That meeting is also considered a Public Hearing for these proposals. Instructions for remote participation are available online.
