"Through shared narratives and diverse viewpoints, we invite you to join us as Hear/Say dismantles stereotypes, fosters empathy, and amplifies voices that have long been marginalized. Our focus on high concentration cannabis use traverses various contexts – from medical treatment to recreational indulgence – prompting reflection on the delicate balance between anecdotal testimony,  empirical research, and the particular harms that can occur for youth, pregnant and parenting people. Join us as we navigate the contours of this controversy, harnessing the power of art to shed light on the unspoken truths.

Within these walls, the discourse surrounding high concentration cannabis unfolds, probing its assumed therapeutic value in contrast to its addictive and unintended health and mental health consequences. Advocacy for extensive research underscores the importance of evidence-based practice, while artists champion the value of generational communication and lived experiences.

As we navigate this controversial terrain, we confront the challenges faced by different communities, from rural areas to urban centers. We recognize the need for depth of exploration, tailored interventions and a nuanced understanding of vulnerability. Our exploration extends beyond scientific inquiry to embrace the power of artistic expression. Our mission is clear: to dismantle stereotypes, cultivate empathy, champion inclusivity, and foster critical thinking about this important topic. Through provocative artistry, we question perceptions, ignite dialogue, and cultivate understanding. Join us as we clear a pathway to open discussions amongst and across generations. In the pursuit of public health, we are called upon to navigate the complexities of evidence, policy, and societal values. Through dialogue, collaboration, and artistry, this exhibition becomes not only a platform for empowerment but also a catalyst for change and an opportunity to elevate the voices of those whose stories deserve to be heard.

However, the conversation transcends scientific inquiry, delving into personal narratives and societal perceptions of high concentration cannabis use among young people.

In this space of convergence, let us break down barriers, celebrate diversity, and ignite conversations that challenge the status quo. Together, we embark on a journey of empowerment, where every story, whether empirical or anecdotal, finds resonance in the collective narrative of human experience. Join us as we navigate the contours of controversy, harnessing the power of art to shed light on the unspoken truths of youth and pregnant people."

The event is open to the public and free to attend.

This exhibition is presented and produced by the listed artist(s)—not the C4C or the City of Fort Collins.
